Squats: Going into the meet, this was probably the lift that I was the most nervous about. As some of you may know, I’ve had some recent injuries that caused some trouble during squat training (lower back and knees mainly), but woke up this morning and everything felt amazing. I even surprised myself. The goal was to hit ~470lbs during this meet, but ended up with 490lbs so more than ecstatic to have hit that, even though it’s not technically a PR I’ll still take it! I really didn’t feel like going to the gym today. I usually love Sunday lifts because the gym is empty and I play around with new movements. But... I just couldn’t quite get lost in my music.
